Thanks for watching this video. I'm glad you're here. If you feel like this earns your subscription please click here: bit.ly/Subscribe2SED How this happened: I messaged Tory "If you ever find yourself with an open lunch I'll buy. No cameras, just rocket geek chat." A few months later he changed a flight one day so we could grab lunch, but he also carved out a couple of hours before lunch to give me a personal tour. He's as cool off camera as he is on camera. He allowed me to ask any technical question I had, and I never even got close to the limits of his understanding of rockets. His technical prowess is something I aspire to. We made a video on the second channel where I interview him about more specific things about rockets, as well as how he feels about competitors. 2nd Channel Interview with Tory about rocket engines, competitors, and business philosophy: mrplans.info/fun/dYXHgLWAhoJ1h6g/vhi-i.html

While I understand ITAR and why it exists, can I legitimately express how much I hate it on the grounds that I'm curious and want to see because I'm a nerd? Yeah, Yeah, Yeah... national security and such.... But Cammon! I wanna see! And bugger me I really kinda wanna move to north Alabama LOL

      2. Walden Schmidt

Tory is sitting on a hidden goldmine. Sell "Vulcan Chips" for a few bucks a pop! I'd be first in line! 😂 What a thing to have on the shelf of curiosities!

    10. Dr EXPL0SION

Tory would make a great professor> He explains things so clearly I can understand almost instantly

    11. Tobias Johansson

    13. Ioannis Michalopoulos

9:09 The gentleman says that we will see the ideal pattern for rocket barrel is in Vulcan when we walk down the line. Where in this video can we see this pattern?

      Fantastic video!

    15. Charlie C

@smartereveryday did you ask him how thin the ortho grid is yet? He said ask in a year.... around 20m mark.

    16. Ali Imtiaz

Mr. Bruno is a great person and seems like very polite & knowledgeable

    17. Donald Honeywill

What a wonderful man. Tory Bruno loves his job, he is just as excited in sharing his product to us as he is in manufacturing it. Thank you Tory for allowing us even if its a guarded view of how you make a rocket. You gentleman broke it down for even laymen of this subject to understand. Very very interesting and very much appreciated.

    18. pettank

      0:00 - 0:24 Great LOL

    22. Sam Miller

When he gave him a chip of the metal it reminded me of an incident many years ago were some Soviets were visiting one of our manufacturing facilities and it was discovered that their shoe souls were gummy to pick up chips as they walked through the factory.

    23. goodie

I love how simple they make rocket science

    24. SusiesRepeat

That,s one CEO I would love to work for.

    25. Philipp Scholl

Amazing video, thanks for the insights. And Tory is such a cool guy!

    26. narcisist83

    30. Charles D

    32. mars rod

You make me cry. Thank you!!!

    33. zug zug

You know, I watch this and it's impressive but I can't help but feel like in a few years this is just going to be a big dark building with abandoned equipment. It's a shame they don't use all this talent, money, and resources to compete with spacex in the reusable rocket arena.

    34. HAPPY 1984

I've seen this 3 times now thanks to recommendations. This CEO is a Dad of the world.

    35. brad hawkins

I worked in the ULA factory for 13 years! I managed 4 different production areas and can honestly say I never considered a day of to be work. I actually saw a lot of my old friends in the video. The great Jeff Ralph was one of the guys you saw early on wiping don the skin mill bed getting ready to load another skin. I led MANY MANY tours through this facility and always looked forward to the opportunity to tell someone about the wonderful things we did at The Rocket Factory.

    36. Miguel Gino Chavêz

This is not only an example of a great CEO, but also big props to Destin for always asking the proper questions and really getting interesting answers from someone like Tony. Great video. I was already subbed but if i could i would sub again.

    37. Nick

SpaceX is so transparent with everything, having full press conferences in the factory. Wonder what they don't let us see. 👀

    38. Nuclear Hippo

I wish I worked for a boss like Torey.

    39. Brandon Steele

This hour flew by. I was totally immersed. Tory is the type of professional I want to wind up being in my career.

Your channel is a big part of that learning and you mostly do a great job of explaining things in ways that make sense to someone who is not a scientist. Thank you.

    92. Eon Reeves

what's crazy is that we are basically throwing stones. rockets are impressive in the measure of the physical feat, but we need to unlock space time if we want to be serious about space travel. Hopefully we will find those answers with the works at CERN and such. I want humans to be ready for that, but perhaps they are not - which is why we are still using rockets to get into space.

    93. Stephen Brown
